There's also this variety show that is on every Friday night. It kind of looks like a mix between SNL and America's got Talent. I can't entirely figure it out but it is pretty fun to watch. And then there's the soap operas. Grandma is pretty consistently watching this one that looks like it takes place around WWII. The main idea is that there is this one main character girl and it looks like these two soldier guys are in love with her and fighting for her affection. It honestly looks like One Tree Hill meets Days of Our Lives meets Russia. We do enjoy watching that as well though. But my favorite so far has been Spongebob Squarepants...in Russian! During the day they have various cartoons on TV that just have Russian voice overs. It's fun because I can totally get what's going on if I've seen the episode before. It makes me feel just a little more at home here!

Russian Entertainment
So here in Russia they do have their own form of Russian music. However, what I have heard I am not a big fan of. Let's just say it includes a lot of accordion and I just can't handle that. But when you're cruising the grocery store it is about 100% likely that you will hear at least one American or English speaking song that you know. Oddly enough I had never heard this song playing at a single store in America but now I come here and I've heard it twice...

Glad you found some Sponge Bob, now if only you could find some of your favorite game shows. P.S. we're really enjoying not having to watch GSN. haha
